Japan: Magnitude 5.8 quake hits Hokkaido prefecture

An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 struck the southern part of Japan's Hokkaido prefecture, Xinhua reported.

Japan's broadcaster NHK said the quake could probably trigger a tsunami. There has not been any report of damage so far, reports Xinhua.
