BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Canada: Rail accidents involving dangerous goods rise in 2014

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada said that during the January to May 2014 period, 74 cases of railway accidents involving dangerous cargo were recorded, compared with 61 in the same period last year, CTV News reported.

Non-main-track derailments rose to 49 from 38.

Harry Gow, president of Transport Action Canada, said one of the important changes that came out of the July 2013 Lac-Megantic derailment disaster was the call for compulsory railway insurance.
