Hub International Ltd. on Monday said it has acquired the shares of Gibson's Insurance Agency Ltd., a Manitoba, Canada-based commercial insurance brokerage, expanding its reach into Canada.
With the addition of Gibson's two offices in Treherne and Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba, both of which will remain in operation, Hub will now have 22 locations in Manitoba, the company said in a statement.
“Because Gibson's agricultural clients are similar to Hub's Manitoba client profile, they are in a great position to take advantage of Hub's unique innovative insurance products developed for crop production, employee benefits and life and estate planning,” said Keith Jordan, Winnipeg, Manitoba-based president and CEO of Hub International Horizon, in the statement.
Based in Chicago, Hub International is the 10th-largest insurance brokerage worldwide in Business Insurance's latest ranking. The firm provides property/casualty, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management products throughout the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Chicago-based middle-market insurance broker Hub International Ltd. on Tuesday said its Hub International Gulf South division has acquired the assets of Jackson, Mississippi-based insurance agency Fox/Everett Inc.
