Study finds 41% of companies worldwide hit by DDoS cyber-attacksReprints
A new study from BT Group P.L.C. revealed that 41% of organizations across the globe were hit by Distributed Denial of Service attacks over the past year, Link2Portal reported.
Despite the growing concern, only 49% of U.K. companies have a response plan for such attacks. Mark Hughes, president of BT Security, said the attacks can have "a damaging effect on revenues and send an organization into full crisis mode." Mr. Hughes added that "reputations, revenue and customer confidence are on the line following a DDoS attack."
