BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Marsh L.L.C. has named Dean Klisura head of the firm’s newly created global placement organization, the company said in a statement Wednesday.

In this new role as global placement leader, Mr. Klisura will oversee all of Marsh’s insurance placement activities, including wholesale, retail, specialty, quote share, and other placement facilities, which have been brought together under one organization.

Prior to his new role, he served as U.S. risk practices and specialties leader, where he will retain his current responsibilities until a successor is named.

Marsh also said that Christopher Lang has been appointed to the new role of U.S. placement leader where he will execute the U.S. placement strategy in alignment with the new global placement organization, which oversees all retail, wholesale, and specialty placement across the firm.

Mr. Lang will also lead Marsh’s U.S. Innovation Council, which creates new products, solutions, and increased capacity for clients in key risk areas. Before assuming his new position, Mr. Lang was Marsh’s global relationship officer for American International Group Inc. He will report to Mr. Klisura.

Both appointments are effective immediately.

“Dean and Chris bring substantial experience to their new roles, and the new Global Placement organization will provide significant benefits to our clients,” John Drzik, president of Global Risk and Specialties at Marsh and to whom Mr. Klisura will report, said in the statement.
