Belarus: First quarter 2014 direct insurance, coinsurance premiums down 6.53%

Belarusian insurers reported 1.634 trillion Belarusian rubles ($163.4 million) in insurance premium volume for direct insurance and coinsurance for the first quarter of 2014, down 6.53% year on year, reported Xprimm.

Belarusian Republican Unitary Insurance Co. was the market leader with a share of 45.20%.

Meanwhile, total claims for the period reached BYR 712.03 billion ($71.2 million), Xprimm reported.
