China Taiping's Macau branch records net profit of $5.7 million

China Taiping Insurance Group Co. Ltd.'s Macau branch registered a net profit of 45.9 million Macau patacas ($5.7 million) in 2013, Macau Business Daily reported.

The amount received in insurance fees before taxes for nonlife business rose to MOP 500 million, up 11.5%. The company said "large-scale projects related to the gaming industry, have caused a very good impact on the revenues of insurance fees and on the insurance market."
