Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd. is in talks to offer parametric insurance against natural catastrophes in Azerbaijan, Forinsurer reported citing Interfax.

The reinsurer may also help create an insurance pool that will help protect against risks related to natural disasters. These moves are expected to help boost insurance penetration in the country and also transfer risks from the state to the private sector.
