BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Zurich North America names head of credit and political risk

P/C Insurers Zurich Political Risk More + Less -

Zurich North America, a unit of Zurich Insurance Group Ltd., on Thursday said it has named Jim Thomas as head of credit and political risk.

Mr. Thomas has been serving as the interim manager of the unit since March, the Schaumburg, Illinois-based insurer said in a statement.

He has been with Zurich since 2000 and has served as regional manager of the Americas, where he led the company's structured credit and political risk underwriting in the United States, Canada, and Latin America, according to the statement.

He is based in Washington.
