Mexico: Crop owners hit by rains in Tabasco set for compensation

The regional government in the Mexican state of Tabasco is taking steps to ensure that crop owners who were affected by the recent rains are compensated, reports Oem.com.mx.

State catastrophe insurance covers several hectares of crops, including corn and sorghum.

The state's coverage is reported to be 194.1 million Mexican pesos ($14.9 million).

Urgent actions planned in the region include replacement of a bridge and pipes, Oem.com.mx reported.
