U.K.: Government plans changes to Riot Damages Act

The U.K. government is mulling changes to the Riot Damages Act in the wake of violence that hit London and other areas across England in 2011, BBC reported.

The government plans to consult on proposed reforms following an independent review of the legislation, Home Office Minister Damian Green said.

The claims process should be quicker and more efficient to ensure that small businesses are given the help they require to recover fast, the review said.
