Vietnam: Number of Taiwanese factories reporting damage rises to 358

Taiwan's Vice Minister of Economic Affairs Shen Jong-chin has said the number of Taiwanese factories that reported damage in Vietnam during the recent anti-Chinese protests has risen to 358, reports Taiwan's Central News Agency.

Losses suffered by the companies have been pegged at between $150 million and $500 million.

Mr. Jong-chin has suggested that the Vietnamese government establish a single window for compensation claims from Taiwanese firms. A Taiwanese delegation that includes insurance experts has arrived in Vietnam to help with reconstruction efforts, Central News Agency reported.
