General Motors to recall 46,000 vehicles in Australia, New Zealand

General Motors Co. is set to recall nearly 46,000 vehicles in Australia and New Zealand for a potential seatbelt issue, Reuters reported.

The pretensioner wiring harness may make contact with a bolt on the seatbelt buckle and this could eventually result in the automatic seatbelt tightening mechanism failing in the event of an accident.

The automaker has not received any reports of injuries in connection to the problem.
