U.K.: London Mayor ordered to meet warehouse damage compensation claims

Three appeal judges have ordered London's Mayor Boris Johnson to meet nearly £75 million ($126.1 million) in compensation claims for the destruction of a Sony warehouse, The Guardian reported. Read more

The warehouse was damaged during the riots in London in August 2011. A previous ruling said insurers could claim compensation from the mayor. Insurers had claimed more than £62.8 million. The appeal judges said the mayor should also compensate for consequential losses, which total £11.4 million.
