Australia: Advancetech collapses after products recalled over fire threatReprints
Advancetech Pty. Ltd., a Queensland-based electronics firm, has collapsed after the state government recalled 27,600 Avanco DC solar power isolators imported and sold by the firm, Smart Company reported.
The isolators are said to have caused up to 13 minor electrical fires in New South Wales and about 57 in Queensland. SV Partners has been appointed liquidators of the firm. SV Partners said "the cost to replace all affected isolators estimated to be more than $3 million Australian ($2.7 million)."
