Ukrainian authorities say Crimean port waters unsafe for navigation

Ukrainian port authorities have told the International Maritime Organization that there exists a "high level of risk" in waters around Crimean ports, ITAR-TASS reported.

Ukraine's port chiefs said they could not guarantee "a proper level of safe navigation and compliance with international commitments stemming from the necessity to preserve human life on the sea [and] search and rescue in the ports of Yevpatoria, Kerch, Sevastopol, Feodosia and Yalta."
