Catastrophic floods threaten Serbia's power plantsReprints
The worst rains to hit the Balkans in over a century are threatening Serbia's power plants, Reuters reported.
The record-high floods have left 37 dead. Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said "the situation is catastrophic."
Floods had already reduced Serbia's power generation by 40%, reports Reuters.
Mr. Vucic said a fire and flooding of surface mines at the Kolubara power plant had caused at least €100 million ($136.9 million) in damage, reports Reuters.
