Serbia: Two power plants halted because of floodsReprints
High water levels from heavy rains and floods have forced Serbia's Elektroprivreda Srbije to halt two hydro power plants, the power utility company said.
Floods also disrupted production at two mines that supply to coal-fired power facilities, Reuters reported. Heavy rains and floods in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have affected electricity delivery in the countries. Around 100,000 households have been left without power in Serbia, officials said. In Bosnia, that number is more than 50,000, reports Reuters.
