U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Mich., chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, will be the opening keynote speaker at the 2014 Business Insurance Cyber Risk Summit on May 22 in Washington D.C.
Mr. Rogers was appointed chairman of the intelligence committee in 2011. Regarded as a leader on national security policy, Mr. Rogers is author of the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act, which was passed by the House.
The Cyber Risk Summit will give risk managers, corporate executives and directors, legislators and legislative staff, policy makers, regulators, insurers and allied industry professionals an opportunity to gather information from experts and peers to help them shape effective cyber security programs.
Among the topics to be covered at the daylong event are: the federal cyber risk legislative and regulatory environment; state cyber risk developments; cyber terrorism risks facing business and industry; cyber risk management; and the developing insurance market for cyber exposures.
