Cambodia: Caltex gas stations in Phnom Penh closed as strike continues

A strike by gas station employees of Caltex, a brand of U.S.-based Chevron Corp., in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, has continued for three days, resulting in all seventeen Caltex stations in the city remaining closed, reports

The Cambodia Daily. The workers are demanding a 45% pay increase to $150 a month and other benefits. Employees at other gas stations said they also want to strike but cannot because of lack of support from leaders. The Caltex workers' strike has led to other gas stations seeing an increase in business, The Cambodia Daily reported.
