To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Canada to increase liability for oil spills

Canada's Transport Minister Lisa Raitt has said the government is to increase the liability for a company having an oil spill to $400 million Canadian ($367.1 million) per spill from CAD 161 million ($147.8 million) currently, reported CBC.ca.

This would mean that CAD 1.6 billion ($1.47 billion) would be available for clean-up activities and compensation, taking into account the ship owner's insurance and other funds.

Ms. Raitt said the government will also lift rules that set limits on what can be used for clean-up works, CBC.ca.
