Study reveals three climate change hotspots in Africa

A new study by researchers at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research has identified three climate change "hotspots" in Africa that will be most at risk from climate change effects in the coming decades, reports Nature World News.

The high risk regions include parts of Sudan and Ethiopia and Africa's southwest, along with Central African countries surrounding Lake Victoria.

Nigeria and the tropical forests of the Congo region are among regions that are likely to face much lesser effects, a researcher said.
