India: Vast areas of crops damaged by rains

More than 50% of agricultural and horticultural crops in Ranga Reddy district in Telangana, India, have been damaged by heavy rainfall over the last few days, reports The New Indian Express.

Affected areas include 1,236 hectares of horticultural crops, including mango and some vegetables, and 784 hectares of paddy crop.

Yacharam, Ibrahimpatnam and Kandukur are among the majorly affected regions in the district.
