Takaful Oman Insurance is set to start operations on May 5 and has started underwriting a few small businesses, reports the Times of Oman.
A company official said the company, which received the permit for underwriting business in April, "will offer both general insurance and family takaful," adding that "reinsurance arrangements have already been made." To reach customers, the company will develop an agency network and also team up with banks to market their products.
