China: CIRC's intermediary market rectification plan 'stronger than most'

Local Chinese media have said that the China Insurance Regulatory Commission's recently announced 'rectification' plan for the insurance intermediary segment is a much stronger regulatory plan than most other such plans.

A source close to the regulator said the work is planned to be completed by March 2015, reports Hexun.com. The regulator said there have been some major problematic incidents in the intermediary market that have affected customers and this move is aimed at preventing such occurrences.
