Insurer pays out $110.2 million for loss of Malaysia Airlines flight 370

An insurer has paid out nearly 360 million Malaysian ringgits ($110.2 million) for the loss of Malaysia Airlines flight 370, which disappeared in March 2014, a report in the Telegraph said.

The report claims that Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty transferred the sum to an escrow account, New Straits Times reported.

The Telegraph speculates that additional "tens of millions of pounds" might be paid out by the insurers to families of the missing passengers, depending on search and rescue outcome.
