BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Segal Group starts new DC plan consulting leadership team

The Segal Group is creating a new leadership team of defined contribution plan consultants led by Robert A. Liberto, senior vice president, at subsidiary Segal Rogerscasey, said spokeswoman Mary Feldman.

While Segal has worked with defined contribution plans in the past, Ms. Feldman said the firm decided it needed to expand the leadership team due to a growth in the business.

Mr. Liberto will continue to lead the DC initiative for the multiemployer market, while the Segal Group hired three new vice presidents and senior consultants to lead specific DC plan markets.

Wendy Y. Carter will lead consulting services in the public sector at Segal Consulting, a unit of Segal Group; she was previously a strategic client relationship director for tax-exempt markets for ING U.S. Retirement Solutions. Emily Dawe, ING spokeswoman, could not be immediately reached to provide further information.

Pirie J. McIndoe will lead consulting services in the higher education market at the Sibson Consulting unit; he was previously vice president, group management, mid-Atlantic region for VALIC. Larry Mark, VALIC spokesman, did not immediately return a phone call seeking further information.

Richard H. Reed will lead consulting services in the corporate market at Sibson Consulting; he was previously managing director of retirement services for Marsh & McLennan Agency.

In a news release, Joseph A. LoCicero, president and CEO of the Segal Group, said, “Over the years, we have built deep DC expertise in the areas of plan design, governance, administration consulting, investment solutions and communications. In order to better serve our clients, we have created a dedicated DC team which will serve clients across all our markets.”
