Brazil: Violent protests hit Rio de JaneiroReprints
Violent protests have broken out in Rio de Janeiro's Copacabana region following the death of a man allegedly caused by police, CNN reported.
Angry demonstrators set barricades on fire, while the police blocked streets.
Rio’s State Security Secretariat said the victim's injuries seem to be consistent with a fall, CNN reports.
Brazilian media said hundreds of people took part in the protest.
The unrest comes just around two months before Brazil hosts the World Cup.
