Argentina's one-day general strike costs $1.3 billion

A 24-hour general strike on Apr. 10 2014 that paralyzed Argentina's transport services and ports resulted in losses of $1.3 billion, reports local media.

The strike had interrupted both air and ground transport, Seatrade Global reported.

Ports in Formosa and San Lorenzo-Rosario were closed, while pilot boat operations in several regions were affected.
