Denmark: Tryg's quarterly profit falls 20%

Denmark head-quartered insurer Tryg A/S recorded pretax profit of 602 million Danish kroner ($111 million) in the first quarter of 2014, compared with DKK 759 million ($130.5 million) in the previous year, Reuters reported.

The insurer saw a few major claims in the Danish corporate division. Sydbank A/S analyst Jacob Pedersen said "both the insurance result and the investment result was weaker than expected."
