Thailand: Sunken tanker spews oil sludge

A tanker, which was carrying 30,000-60,000 liters of oil sludge, has sunk near the Maha Chai Gulf in Samut Sakhon province, causing an oil spill, Thai News Agency reported.

The vessel sank about three to four kilometers from the Pak Klong Pramong coast, Bernama reported. This caused the oil to spread in the entire area, affecting local fishermen.
