Ireland: Insurance sector to create 3,000 jobsReprints
A report by PricewaterhouseCoopers L.L.P., commissioned by Insurance Ireland, said an additional 3,000 jobs would be created in Ireland's insurance sector in the next five years, RTE News reported.
The report said an estimated 27,000 people are already working in the sector, of which 14,000 have been directly employed by insurers and the remaining by firms directly related to the sector. The report said the country can become an international hub for insurance innovation by collaborating with the I.T. sector.
