Personal insurance rates continued to climb slightly in March, according to an analysis issued by Dallas-based electronic insurance exchange MarketScout late last week.
Rates rose an average of 3% for homes in both the over $1 million in value category and those below, while personal auto also rose 3%. Personal articles coverages rose 2%.
“We are seeing the premium increases moderate and expect that trend to continue unless insurers are hit with a large catastrophic weather events later in the year,” said MarketScout CEO Richard Kerr in a statement.
