Indonesia: General insurers' premiums may grow 20% in 2014, says association

Indonesia's general insurers are expected to see further growth in 2014 amid rising demand for property protection, The Jakarta Post reported.

The Association of Indonesian General Insurance Companies estimates the sector's overall premium to grow by at least 20% to 56.5 trillion Indonesian rupiah ($5 billion).

The association's executive director Julian Noor expects gross premium from property insurance to "be higher by 17% this year."
