Uganda: Regulator confident composite insurers will meet deadline to separate businesses

Uganda's insurance regulator is certain that all composite insurers will separate their nonlife and life businesses, as required by the law, before the September 2014 deadline, East African Business Week reported.

The division is a must before insurers are given licenses to undertake business in the country in 2015.

Uganda has 22 insurers, of which six are composite insurers.
