BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

EEOC publishes updated 'Digest of EEO Law'

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has issued a new edition of its “Digest of Equal Employment Opportunity Law” highlighting federal court cases of interest, the agency said Thursday.

Prepared by the EEOC’s Office of Federal Operations, the digest features recent agency decisions and federal court cases of interest. The latest edition also includes a special article entitled “Retaliation: An Evolving Area of the Law.”

“The digest’s focus on retaliation should be particularly useful, as that continues to be the most frequently alleged basis” for equal employment opportunity complaints, said Carlton M. Hadden, director of the Office of Federal Operations, in a statement. “The article provides solid information on recent decisions and cases.”

Other topics included in the digest include attorneys’ fees, remedies, sanctions and settlement agreements, among others.

Copies of the digest are available here.
