India's governing body for cricket wishes to have an insurance cover of 11 billion Indian rupees ($179.3 million) for cricket tournament Indian Premier League's seventh edition, Business Standard reports.

Allianz S.E. is believed to be among the two companies that have been shortlisted to negotiate a deal for the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the newspaper reported.

Public sector general insurers usually lead in bidding to offer insurance for sporting events such as the IPL.
