Ping An Insurance Group Co. of China Ltd. posted a net profit of 28.15 billion Chinese yuan ($4.65 billion) for the year ended Dec. 31, 2013, Reuters reported.

The insurer's annual earnings rose 40.5% during the period, helped by growth in investment income.
