Foreign location likely to shrink insurance cover for Indian cricket event

Insurance cover for the seventh season of cricket’s Indian Premier League is expected to shrink as the initial games are to take place outside of India, Business Standard reported.

The first phase will be held in the United Arab Emirates and risk is usually considered higher in a foreign nation, the newspaper reported. The 2012 edition of the event had an insurance cover of around 6.5 billion to 7 billion Indian rupees ($106 million to $114 million).
