RSA appoints new CEO of troubled Irish unit

U.K. insurer RSA Insurance Group P.L.C. has appointed Ken Norgrove CEO of its troubled Irish unit, RSA Insurance Ireland.

RSA announced late last week that Mr. Norgrove, most recently CEO of Zurich General Insurance Ireland, the Irish unit of Zurich Insurance Co. Ltd., would take up the post on June 1, subject to regulatory approval.

Mr. Norgrove will succeed Philip Smith, who resigned as CEO of RSA Insurance Ireland in November after he was suspended by the company while it carried out an investigation into alleged financial irregularities at the unit.
