BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Capital Insurance adds EPLI policies to business offerings

Capital Insurance Group has expanded its comprehensive employment practices liability insurance option to include policies for business owners.

The policies offer protection for organizations with up to 250 employees with a limit of $1 million, the Monterey, Calif.-based insurer said in a statement Wednesday.

Organizations with 50 employees or less do not need to submit an application for coverage and are covered for up to $250,000, according to the statement.

The policies provide employers with protection against claims made by current, former or prospective employees and cover a wide span of employment-related allegations including wrongful termination, harassment and discrimination, according to the statement.

“Beyond the EPLI coverage itself, CIG provides access to free resources, like model employee handbooks, training modules and information documents on relevant, new legislation, that help small businesses mitigate risk and utilize sound employment practices,” said Mark Ohlstrom, Capital Insurance Group’s risk assessment and loss control manager, in the statement.
