Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility looks to expand to Latin America

The world's first multi-country catastrophe risk pool, the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility, is looking to expand to include countries in Latin America, Artemis.bm reported.

The facility has approached the World Bank to seek financing for the expansion.

The risk pooling facility, at present, provides parametric-based disaster insurance to Caribbean countries.
