Perils updates Windstorm Xaver insured losses to $1 billion

Perils A.G. has updated its estimate for industrywide insured losses from Windstorm Xaver to €727 million ($1.00 billion)
Windstorm Xaver hit parts of northern and western Europe on Dec. 5 and 6.
Zurich-based Perils previously had announced a loss estimate of €680 million ($929.6 million).
Perils is an independent organization that provides industrywide catastrophe insurance data.
