South Sudan: Unrest cuts oil production by 29%

South Sudan's oil production has gone down by about 29% because of the unrest in the country, Ateny Wek Ateny, press secretary to President Salva Kiir, said.

Mr. Ateny also said several properties in Bentiu, Bor and Malakal have been destroyed, Agence France-Presse reported.

India's ONGC Videsh Ltd. had temporarily halted operations in South Sudan because of security concerns.
