Flood damage in Fiji's Central, Eastern divisions estimated at more than $1.6 million

The damage caused by the recent floods in Fiji's Central and Eastern divisions is estimated at more than $3 million Fijian ($1.6 million), Commissioner Central Lieutenant Colonel Laisenia Tuitubou said.

The cost of broken bridges and power lines and damage to farms and other infrastructure is yet to be taken into consideration when calculating the final amount of damage bill, Islands Business reported.
