Thailand: Exports, imports fall as political unrest drags onReprints
Thailand's exports dropped 2% in January from the same period in 2013 as the prolonged political unrest affected business confidence, the Commerce Ministry said.
It said imports declined 15% during the month from last year, Reuters reported. Gunfire and explosions have been reported near numerous protest sites. The ongoing violence has claimed the lives of at least 20 people.
