BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

President Obama hails rising public health insurance exchange enrollment

Despite “misinformation,” millions of people have been able to obtain health insurance because of the 2010 health care reform law, President Obama said Tuesday.

“Nowhere has there been more misinformation, nowhere are just basic facts more contested,” President Obama said at a Washington event sponsored by Organizing for Action, a volunteer group with strong ties to the Democratic Party.

“As of today, we've signed up more than 4 million people through the exchanges,” he said. “That's 4 million people who have the security of health care, in many cases for the very first time. And that doesn't count the 3 million people who are already able to get health insurance because of they're staying on their parents' plan,” President Obama said in referring to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act provision that requires employers to extend group coverage to employees' adult children up to age 26.

In his address, President Obama did not specify how many of the 4 million who have enrolled in health plans offered through public exchanges were previously uninsured.
