Spain: Insurance regulator calls for greater transparency

Spain's Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds has urged the country's insurance sector to speed up its adoption of international rules on transparency, reports Spanish news website Cincodias.com.

A deputy-director at the body said insurers in Spain should try harder to meet the transparency standards required by the third pillar of Solvency II. The official also lauded the efforts made towards aligning with Solvency II's first pillar.
