Chile: 2013 insurance premiums up 4.5%

Total insurance premiums recorded in Chile in 2013 increased 4.5% to about $10.8 million, local language website Diario Financiero reported.

General insurance premiums increased 1.3% during the period.

A Fitch Ratings Inc. executive in Chile said a growth of around 5% to 5.5% is expected in 2014.
