Oman: Over-capacity, competition keeps insurance premium pricing low

Over-capacity and competition in Oman have kept insurance premium pricing low, Times of Oman reported.

The country has 23 registered insurers, with the top four accounting for more than 50% of premiums.

The insurance industry's gross written premium for 2012 stood at around $750 million, a report by business consultancy Frost & Sullivan said.
